Description: Podcasting, Youth and the New Economy is a project aimed at helping youth become employed, develop a career, or upgrade skills to return to school. TYPS (www.typs.com) is hiring 9 youth to create and produce audio and video podcasts for community based clients. No experience necessary. Project provides a range of life-skill and production workshops to support and develop your skills and employment experience. Time also available to produce podcasts around issues of your own concern. A free Gatineau city bus pass is available to support your transportation to and from the project site.

Salary: $9.00/hr, 35 hrs week, 24 weeks.

Basic Selection Criteriae:

Applicants must:

1. Be Quebec anglophone (or bilingual) residents between 16-30 on February 15, 2010.
2. Be out of school and out of work, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
3. Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI); priority will be given to non-EIeligible
youth.
4. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee
status in Canada.
5. Be in need of assistance in order to overcome employment barriers.
