Centre Nouvel Horizon gives courses in French.

Goal
If you are an immigrant with a permanent resident card or if you have trouble speaking French, you can take French courses. These courses are designed to help you develop your ability to get by in everyday situations where communication is involved. Daytime and evening courses are offered.

What to expect
You will have to take a classification test to determine your starting level. This test lasts a maximum of one hour. Check the registration details on the site of Centre Nouvel Horizon.

Daytime courses
You will be classed in one of the three following groups: beginner, intermediate or advanced. You can join a course every five weeks according to the calendar and available places.

Evening courses
You will be classed in one of five levels depending on your knowledge in French. You can join a course  January 11, 2010 (mid-session). It is also possible to join a course during the school year depending on the availability.
