Graham Greig Award for Outstanding Community Service

The late Graham Greig was very well known and respected in West Quebec for his dedication and community service, and his devotion as a husband, father and grandfather.

Graham served on the Regional Association of West Quebecers Board of Directors for 11 years, 7 as chair. Graham's main interests among the dossiers at RAWQ were language rights (Bill 101, Bill 78) and sign laws. He was also concerned about Community Health Services.

RAWQ was just one of the many government and community organizations Graham served as a volunteer member on various committees and boards. He served four years on the Aylmer Town Planning Committee, and was involved with the Aylmer Heritage Association. He also used his professional background to the fullest as a volunteer on the Human Resources Board of Referees.

He was retired after 41 years with the EB Eddy Company where his last position was as director of Human Resources. He and his wife lived in Aylmer from 1960 until his death in 2002. Their three grown children are all married and on their own. One lives in Wakefield and two others live in Ottawa.
