RAWQ Fundraiser Golf
Tournament Raises Big for Local Schools and New Residents!
The Regional Association of West Quebecers is proud to announce that its
3rd annual Golf Tournament held on Sunday, September 18th raised
$2684.47. The proceeds will be shared with the D'Arcy McGee and Symmes
School communities, giving them $1342.24 towards their new Performing
Arts Auditorium.

The Regional Association
of West Quebecers is proud to be assisting the Symmes and D’Arcy McGee
Schools raise funds for their new Performing Arts Auditorium with
proceeds from our 3rd Annual West Quebecers Fundraiser Golf Tournament
on Sunday September 18th at the Kingsway Park Golf and Country Club.
Proceeds will also be shared with the West Quebecers New Residents
Program.

Awards Banquet
"A Resounding
Success!"
An impressive cast of community achievers was
honored during a festive gala Friday June 10th at Camp Fortune where more
than 80 people from throughout the Outaouais were gathered for the
2005 West Quebecers
Awards banquet hosted by the Regional Association of West Quebecers.
In an
atmosphere that moved seamlessly from levity to deep felt emotion, this second
annual banquet
recognized the outstanding achievements, community service and leadership of
very deserving West Quebecers who have volunteered time and energy toward
improving their community and have made a difference in the Outaouais.

It’s Time to Take a Second
Look at Bill 101
A cornerstone of the 1977 Charter of the French Language, Bill 101, will
be ruled on March 31st by the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Regional
Association of West Quebecers will be closely watching the decision
because it is expected to address the issue of who can and cannot attend
English schools in
Quebec.
