year (2005). A big program of events is being planned for
the first two weeks of July.
In the meantime, the public is being asked to help in
putting together a history of the municipality. One major
project is the creation of a self-guided tour, with a map,
of the historical places within the municipality, such as
the founding schools, churches and cemeteries, as well as
early pioneer homes, mills and industries.
Anyone who would like to share old photographs, stories,
papers and other material relevant to these places, or even
to their own homestead or house in Clarendon, is asked to

It is hoped to have many festivities at Stark’s Corners, and
therefore information about the former cheese factory, the
Orange Lodge building, Elliott pump factory, school and
church would be appreciated.
Anyone wishing to join the planning committee is asked to
contact Lorna Young at the Municipal Office for the date and
time of the next meeting.
