November 22. Everyone is invited to a public consultation on the Heritage Objectives contained in the preliminary Gatineau Park Master Plan. The meeting will be hosted by the Gatineau Valley Historical Society at the Chelsea Community Centre beginning at 7:30. Special guests are
Jean-René Doyon, NCC Director for the Gatineau Park and Denis Messier, Manager, Historical Interpretation. You can see the Master Plan document at www.ncc-ccn.ca.

November 25. Ron Moores’s Back 40 Band hosts the Back 40 Stage at Rasputin’s -  guest Juno Award winner Jenny Whiteley (singer/
songwriter from McDonald's Corners ON - Juno award winner for best "Roots" album; formerly with bluegrass band "Heartbreak Hill"; new CD titled "Hopetown"). At Rasputin’s, 696 Bronson Avenue, Ottawa.  7.30 pm.  Admission: $5.00 (this small cover charge gets you in.  The cover charge proceeds are split between the featured band/artist and the CKCU-FM 93.1 Funding Drive.

Every last Thursday of the month (except in July, August and December) Ron Moores and the Back 40 Band host the Back 40 Stage at Rasputin’s.

The musicians of Back 40 come from both Quebec and Ontario.  Ron Moores resides in Cantley.  He regularly introduces at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield.  The Band broadcasts on CKCU-FM Community Radio (93.1) at noon on Saturdays.

Al Visser is originally from Aylmer.
Proceeds in support of the Aylmer Legion.
Membership not required.   Full meal at 5.30 pm. Cost: $6.00 per person.

November 25-27. The first ever Quebec Arts Summit for English-language artists was held over three days in Montreal, attended by 120 Quebec English-speaking artists and 75 government and community partners. Organizers say the summit was a major success which has led to the formation of a new English-Language Arts Network with the working title of ELAN, which could have a major impact on the future of English-language artists and their organizations in Quebec.
