LeGuerrier, the son of Florence LeGuerrier of Lakeview
Terrace, is the producer of a television miniseries which
has received four Gemini Award nominations. Entitled "Canada
Russia '72,
the miniseries tells the story of the 1972 eight-game Summit
Series between Canada and Russia.
It was first aired on CBC in April of this year and is
nominated in the following categories: Best Direction in a
Dramatic Program or Miniseries; Best Picture Editing in a
Dramatic Program or Series; Best Performance by an Actor in
a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or
Miniseries; and Best Achievement in Casting.
A DVD version will be available in stores in October.
The 21st Gemini Awards will be presented from the River Rock
Casino Resort in British Columbia on November 4.
