Heritage College, in conjunction with the Pontiac School of the Arts (PSOTA) is offering art courses in Portage du Fort, on PSOTA's premises (Old St. James' School).October 14 and 15.
1. Cartooning and Caricature with Kate Aley (register with Heritage College).
2. Drawing for Beginners with Ruby Ewen (register with PSOTA).
3. Expressing Your Environment with Raymond Sander-Regier and Robin Stone (register with PSOTA)

1. Becoming a Freelance Writer with Katharine Fletcher (register with Heritage College).

September 30 and October 1.  The Pontiac Artists' Association presents DAM ART I, a weekend of art events in Portage du Fort.
1. Dam Art du Barrage.  Pontiac Artists' Association exhibition and sale of new works.  Vernissage: Friday, September 29, 7.00-9.00 pm.
Exhibition: Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, 10.00 am. - 5.00 pm., at the Stone School, Mill Street, Portage du Fort
2. History Talks with Anna Babinska.  A presentation of Pontiac's architectural heritage: Saturday, September 30, at 2.00 pm., at the Stone School, Portage du Fort.
3. Art in the Park.  Free art fun for all ages - demonstrations and 'hands on' activities: Sunday, October 1, 1.00-5.00 pm., at Parc Brosseau, Portage du Fort.

October 7.  Opening of the exhibition FIGURE at Galerie MacKenzie Marcotte in Wakefield.  Works featuring the human figure examined from a variety of aspects, by Kathryn Drysdale, Reid McLachlan, Rick Ritza and Raymond Warren.  The exhibition continues until November 13. Galerie MacKenzie Marcotte is located at 26 Sully Road in Wakefield.  Open weekends from 10.00 am. to 5.00 pm., and at other times by chance, or by appointment. October 7 and 8.  First Annual Fall Art Festival at Campbell's Bay.  Hosted by Atelier du Druide, with the support of Raymond Sander-Regier, professional printmaker from Shawville, and Chantal Auger, professional potter. The Festival features the work of local and regional artists and artisans.
October 7.  Art exhibit, tarot card reading, refreshments.  11.00 am - 7.00 pm.
