December 2.  The four-piece acoustic band Hoodlum, based in Rupert and Duclos, will launch its first CD at Kaffe 1870, in Wakefield.  The CD presents music inspired by traditional Czech peasant songs.  Admission $5.00. For information e-mail the group at hoodlum@magma.ca

December 8. Book-launch party at Galerie Art de la Paix, across from the train-stop in Wakefield.  Starts 7.00 pm.  Nathan Vanek will read from his book The Bridge Between.  Music and snacks provided.

 The Wakefield Book Club
The Book Club meets at the Wakefield Public Library at 10.00 am. on every third Friday from October to June.  If you are looking for a book club there is space available here.
