May 3. Opening of the 21st Annual Heritage College Spring Art Show featuring a juried exhibition of students’ works. Refreshments will be served Monday evening during the Vernissage which starts at 7:00 pm in the Agora. The Art Show continues Tuesday and Wednesday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

May 17. The Gatineau Valley Historical Society is holding its annual dinner at 5:30 pm at Heritage Hall in Low, Quebec. Popular singer, songwriter and broadcaster Wayne Rostad will be this year's special guest.

June 2 to August 29.  Kids, Cats and Goldfish.  Exhibition of paintings by Lyle Docherty.  Espace Odyssée, Maison de la Culture de Gatineau, 855, boulevard de la Gappe, Gatineau. Open on performance nights. Formal opening June 2, 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Free admission.  Call: (819) 243-2325.

June 11. 1st Annual West Quebecers Awards Banquet. Deborah Thomson of Chelsea, winner of the 2004 West Quebecers Award for Community Service in Arts and Culture is one of eight Outaouais residents being honored for their outstanding community achievements at the Regional Association of West Quebecers inaugural awards banquet at Camp Fortune. The banquet's special guest speaker, Arctic explorer Richard Weber,
is winner of the 2004
J.D. Coulson award for Outstanding  Achievement.
