Local
poet wins a prize.
In the week of April 12-18
the Poetic Licence Contest for Canadian Youth was held under the
sponsorship of the League of Canadian Poets. This coincided with Young
Poets' Week. The first prize for Quebec was awarded to Zoe Dickinson, a
resident of Aylmer who will be graduating from Canterbury High School,
Ottawa, in June of this year. Ms. Dickinson's poem is entitled "Haley"
and can be viewed at

The
author has other poems which she hopes to publish eventually.

Aylmer-based band will compete against 13 other bands from Ottawa
