The Pontiac Artists' Studio Tour 2004

The 15th Pontiac Artists' Studio Tour will open the studios of eighteen artists to the visiting public. The artists include:

The Tour is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Free of charge.

June 14“Wordstock in Wakefield”. 
An evening of words, described by the organizer as an “open stage celebrating our imagination”.  It is an opportunity for participants to read poetry, tell stories, play music and play improv games.  Sponsored by Rendezvous Rupert and Theatre Wakefield.  At the Blacksheep Inn.  Starts at 7:00 pm.  No need to register in advance.  Admission: $5:00 per person.

June 17.  Hugh Scott, singer from Luskville.  At the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 59 Bancroft Street, Aylmer.  7:30 pm.  Admission free.  Full meal available at 6 pm at a cost of $6.00 per person.

June 17 to July 18 'Moon Under Leo'.
An exhibition of paintings by
Marcio Melo at the Galerie Montcalm, 25 Laurier Street,
Gatineau (Hull). Vernissage will be held

June 17 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Marcio Melo has taken the inspiration of the Fiery Leo Moon, and with his paintings, sets our hearts aflame with dramatic flare and a playful, royal attitude.
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, the Embassy of Brazil and the City of Gatineau invite you to a concert of the Brazillian guitarist Oswaldo Barbosa from

- 7:30 pm in the "L'agora Gilles Rocheleau" just outside the gallery.

June 19Hollow Glen Spring Festival.   Features live music throughout the day by Lee Cloutier, country singer, Mike Fahey, folk singer, Dan Mayo, children’s entertainer, Breakdance demonstration and workshop by  a member of the Canadian Floor Masters school at Aylmer and some of his students. 12 - 5 pm at the Hollow Glen Community Centre (on Mountain Road, near Beamish Lake on the border of Chelsea and Aylmer).  If it rains, the Festival will be moved to June 26.  Admission is free.  Proceeds from sales  will go towards forthcoming Hollow Glen Community Centre events.
