In celebration of Earth Day (April 23) Pontiac High School Teachers have challenged all students to write a one-page essay, or produce a drawing, showing what Earth Day means.  All the work will be placed in a book which Valerie Bridgeman, a teacher at the school, is preparing from her hand-made paper.

April 23.  J'Tam at the Black Sheep Inn at 9 pm.  J'Tam is an Afrobeat drum and dance ensemble with members from Montreal, Cawood, Aylmer and Hull and led by Marc Seguin of Ville Emard.   Also; BB/Harmonium Reunion, an afrobeat drum and dance sensation from Montreal. Advanced tickets $10.00.
All Black Sheep shows are smoke-free.

Philemon Wright High School presents the musical “West Side Story” in the school's auditorium; 80 Daniel-Johnson, Gatineau, Hull Sector. 
The show begins at 7 pm.
 Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for student or child.

$4 student/child.  Tickets go on sale in the cafeteria at lunch hour on Monday April 25, and are also available at the door, but don’t be disappointed!

"The Goldminer's Daughter or the Triumph of Virtue"

An old-fashioned melodrama presented by the Pontiac Players under the direction of Joan Conrod
 at Pontiac High School, Shawville. Tickets $10.00.  Available at Clarendon Municipal Hall, the Shawville/Clarendon Municipal Library and Mother Natures. Part of Clarendon Township's 150th anniversary events. 

April 28. Hugh Scott, country singer from Luskville at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 33, 59 Bancroft St, Aylmer.  Full meal at 6 pm. Cost: $6.00.  Entertainment at 7:30 pm. Everyone welcome, no membership required.  Call: (819) 684-7063.
