"L'Expo-vente Loto Quebec.
Les Artistes de l'Ouest."
Collective exhibition of artists of the Outaouais at the Galerie Montcalm, 25 Laurier, Gatineau (Hull Sector).
In order to provide equitable support for professional artists working in all the regions of Québec, Loto-Québec has entrusted the organization of this major event to the Galerie Montcalm.  The exhibition has been carefully selected by a jury from more than sixty works submitted.   Among the artists participating are Carol Bretzloff, Kathryn Drysdale, Rebecca Mason, Reid McLachlan, Marcio Melo, Marie-France Nitzki, and Claudette Spence. Further aims of the exhibition are to provide a body of work from which Loto-Québec can select in order to diversify its collection, and to encourage businesses in the region to support local professional artists by acquiring their works.
The works submitted by the following artists have been selected for acquisition  by the Loto-Qu
ébec collection: Shahla Bahrami, Louise Boulay, Carol Bretzloff, Jacques Charbonneau, Ginette Daigneault, Pierre Demonsand, Allen Egan, Margit Hideg, Anna Luczak, Monique Pilon, Sylvain Potvin, Antoni Ramaszewski.

May 25-27. Marcio Melo Collaborative Mural Workshops, Queen Elizabeth School, Kazabazua.  This Quyon artist has  completed projects in collaboration with students at various Quebec schools,  including many in the Outaouais.  For information about the Workshops, visit Marcio Melo's website at www.marciomelo.com/Mural/MuralWorkshop/index

May 26.  Al Visser, originally from Aylmer. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 33, 59 Bancroft, Aylmer. As always on Thursdays, full meal deal at 6.00 pm.  Cost: $6.00.  Entertainment at 7.30 pm.
