GATINEAU COMMUNITY EVENTS

September 15. HAR Exhibition by John R. Barkley, artist originally from Aylmer.  At the Espace Odyssée (Upper level of the Odyssée Hall), Maison de la Culture de Gatineau, 855 De la Gappe Boulevard, Gatineau. Opening of exhibition: 6-8 pm. The exhibition continues until November 28, and is open to the public on evenings when there are shows in the Odyssée Hall.
John Barkley says of these oil paintings: “Har  is the creative infinity, one of the aspects of the Divine.  As an experimental painter, I consider my painting practice a spiritual pursuit.  Through the creative process I am developing a visual vocabulary to explore the relationships between art, cosmogony and the human psyche and I hope to challenge conventional wisdom.”
