Canada Day Parade, Buckingham. The forty units will include
two floats with musical shows: on the Dan Farnand float Phil
Casey, John Gorman and Roger Mercier, playing country and
bluegrass - on the Findlay twins’ float Viateur Pagé, Madame
Lorraine and La Volute, the young fiddlers from the Académie
St-Laurent. Starting from the Royal Canadian Legion in
Buckingham at 10.00 am. In the afternoon performances by
Ed Leclerc (fiddler from Wakefield), and country singers
Gary and Stephanie Fairburn and others at Ed (“Junior”)
Lemieux’s farm, starting after the horse pull at about 5.00
pm. Admission: $5.00.
The Lemieux farm is on the Doherty Road (from Buckingham take the
road to Mayo, highway 315, and exit at the traffic circle
