July 1-9.  Canada Day weekend in Shawville and events happening the following week.

July 1.
Events at the Shawville Fairgrounds

. Community Breakfast

. Survivor Games and Volleyball Tournament
1 pm. Canada Day Parade (Lions) – Main Street to Fairgrounds:  Art & Handicraft Show, Heritage Fair, Dairy Display, Antique Tractor Display, Lumberjack Contest, Children’s Games and Face Painting, Clowns
2 pm. Bed Races (Kinsmen – following the Parade at Memorial Park)
3 pm. Opening Ceremonies and Awards (bring lawn chairs)
4 pm. Musical Entertainment by the Bowes Bros. (food available on the grounds)
7 pm. Tractor Square Dancing
8 pm. Miss Clarendon Peach Contest
9:30 pm. Fireworks 

July 2. Events at Dr. S.E. McDowell School, Shawville
1-4 pm. School
Reunion and Open House at the Agricultural Hall, Shawville.
8:30 pm. Clarendon 150th Anniversary Dance – Music by Robin Averill and Mountain
Tay. Tickets available from Clarendon Municipal Hall, Ann Rogers or Sylvia Hodgins. Tickets can be delivered. 

July 3. Events at the Fairgrounds

. Ecumenical Church Service followed by Pot Luck Lunch (bring lawn chairs) 

July 4-8 Daytime activities
Displays at the Council Hall.  Visit the new Library/Archives and the Museum.  Take a Walking Tour of Shawville and a Self-Guided Tour of Clarendon

July 5.  Bus Tour of Clarendon’s Historic Sites.  Bus leaves Clarendon Municipal Hall for the Tour at 1 pm.  You must register before June 30; call (819) 647-3862.   

July 6: At Shawville United Church
2 pm. Quilt Show and Tea

July 7.  At Pontiac High School, Shawville.

. The Pontiac Players present “The Gold Miner’s Daughter OR The Triumph of Virtue” under the direction of Joan Conrod . Tickets $10.00.  Available at Clarendon Municipal Hall, the Shawville/Clarendon Municipal Library and Mother Natures

July 9.  At Stark’s Corners: Family Day.
