C.H. Pierre-Janet is the regional psychiatric hospital. They offer specialized child, adolescent and adult psychiatry services both at the hospital and through the deployment of its professionals into the territories as consultants to service providers at the local level.

REHABILITATION CENTRES
 
Rehabilitation Centres for the Physically Handicapped
 
The Centre régional de réadaptation La Ressourse is a regional center offering rehabilitation services for people with significant, persistent physical handicaps (motor, visual, auditory, speech and language) leading to a notable, permanent functional disability. La Ressourse also offers diagnostic services for young children with delayed development.
 
La Ressourse also administers an orthotic-prosthetic plan on behalf of the Régie de l'assurance-maladie du Québec.

SERVICES FOR THE INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED

Website: www.rsdi.qc.ca (provides a list of a network of services for citizens for have an intellectual disability in the Outaouais area).

The Pavillon du Parc provides a diversified continuum of adjustment, rehabilitation and integration services tailored to the specific needs of the intellectually handicapped and their families. These services include:

• Family support
• Community companionship
• Specialized education
• Lodging
• Socio-professional services and daytime activities
• Psychosocial services, physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation, assisted communication, speech therapy, psychological services.

Their services are organized on a territorial basis and are accessed through your local C.L.S.C. Persons receiving residential services must help pay for their room and board.

This is a community based organization offering respite care for families who are caring for an intellectually disabled family member at home. More information may be obtained from Pavillon du Parc.
 

REHABILITATION FOR YOUTH

The services offered by Les Centres Jeunesse de l'Outaouais are designed to enable social integration and reintegration of youths under the age of 17 with personal, social or family adjustment problems. Services are also provided to their families as well as to mothers with adjustment problems:
 
Social emergency;
Youth protection;
Adoption;
Superior Court expertise;
Services for young offenders;
Child placement.
 
Les Centres Jeunesse de l'Outaouais also provide specialized adjustment and rehabilitation services on a residential or external basis:

• In a natural setting;
• In an open setting;
• In a structured setting;
• In secured custody.

The services of Les Centres Jeunesse de l'Outaouais are accessible to all residents of the region. Social protection and emergency services are accessible by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
