Regional Association of West Quebecers presents Charles Dickens'
"A Christmas Carol"

The Regional Association of West Quebecers is sponsoring a dramatic reading of "A Christmas Carol" to be held on December 20th at 57 Couvent Street in the beautiful auditorium of the old Notre-Dame Convent. This will be a benefit concert for the local St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Executive Director, Rick Henderson, is very enthusiastic about the Association's sponsorship of this benefit production. "The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is actively involved in assisting the needy in our community and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to help raise funds for the Feed-A-Child program. The Dramatic Reading of Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" is perfect for this time of year and we are hopeful that this will prove to be a successful fundraiser for the much-needed work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society".

There will be two performances of this Reading on December 20th, a Matinee at 2:00 p.m. and an Evening Performance at 8:00 p.m. A Dickens' Chorus will be on hand to entertain, as well. Refreshments in 'olde English' style … fruitcake, shortbreads and a Christmas punch will be served following the performance. All in all, it should be a delightful, seasonal favourite for all who attend.

Mr. Henderson noted, "We often tend to head out of town and into Ottawa for our Christmas entertainment - but not this year! If December 20th is a beautiful day we can even walk to this event!" Mr. Henderson also noted, with pleasure, that his niece, Gemini award-winning actress Meredith Henderson will join our local talent as the "guest performer". "Meredith is a working actress (who is popular with young people for her critically acclaimed TV series performances in "The Adventures of Shirley Holmes" and "Myth Quest"). She is currently living in Toronto but we are very happy she is coming home for the holidays and can participate in the Reading".

Tickets can be purchased at the West Quebec offices at 53 Principale or at Tea 'N Tole at 1055 Chemin Aylmer. Adult $10, Senior $8, Children 8-16 years $5
